Liquid Rain
The Lord spoke a brief word to me this week.
His declaration will affect the entire world!
He announced, “Liquid rain comes from heaven.
Liquid rain—Liquid rain!
The clouds are gathered…Here comes the liquid rain!”
Spiritual downpours—much water!
I was watching this heavenly flow of water.
I was questioning…Why put “rain” and “liquid” together?
I began to research the Word…
because I wanted more understanding
and the fullness of what He meant.
He said… “It is coming! The clouds are already built up!”
I looked up rain in the dictionary.
1. Water falling in drops
2. Vapor condensed in the atmosphere
3. The descent of this moisture upon the earth
I looked up liquid…adjective and noun
To be liquid is:
1.Flowing freely like water
2.Shining—clear
3.Musical and free of harshness in sound
4.Smooth—unconstrained
5.No friction!
Three thoughts came to me:
1. We know that we cannot live without water!
2. Jesus stated in John 10… He is the Living Water…
3. We literally determine our future by the amount of water
that flows through us both physically and spiritually.
I turned to the scriptures to research.
I looked up rain…these are the passages
I want to share for your consideration…
**Deuteronomy 32:2 AMPC
My message shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil
as the dew, as the light rain upon the tender grass,
and as the showers upon the herb.
MSG Version
Listen, Heavens, I have something to tell you.
Attention, Earth, I’ve got a mouth full of words.
My teaching, let it fall like a gentle rain,
my words arrive like morning dew,
Like a sprinkling rain on new grass,
like spring showers on the garden.
For it’s God’s Name I’m preaching—
respond to the greatness of our God!
The Rock: His works are perfect, and
the way he works is fair and just;
A God you can depend upon, no exceptions, a straight-arrow God.
**2 Samuel 23:4 AMPC
He dawns on them like the morning light
when the sun rises on a cloudless morning,
when the tender grass springs out of the earth
through clear shining after rain.
**Job 38:28 AMPC
Has the rain a father? Or who has begotten the drops of dew?
Here’s a thought from the Message Version in Job 38
“Have you ever traveled to where snow is made,
seen the vault where hail is stockpiled,
The arsenals of hail and snow that I keep
in readiness for times of trouble and battle and war?
Can you find your way to where lightning is launched,
or to the place from which the wind blows?
Who do you suppose carves canyons for the downpours of rain,
and charts the route of thunderstorms
That bring water to unvisited fields, deserts
no one ever lays eyes on, Drenching the useless wastelands
so they’re carpeted with wildflowers and grass?
And who do you think is the father of rain and dew,
the mother of ice and frost?
You don’t for a minute imagine these marvels of weather
just happen, do you?
**Hosea 6:3 AMPC
Yes, let us know (recognize, be acquainted with, and understand) Him;
let us be zealous to know the Lord [to appreciate, give heed to,
and cherish Him]. His going forth is prepared and certain as the dawn,
and He will come to us as the [heavy] rain,
as the latter rain that waters the earth.
The Lord says…Watch…
Here comes the Liquid Rain of His presence!
It will declare His Glory and Power around the world!
Prayer
Prepare our hearts Lord to receive…
To be drenched…to drink freely.
Saturate us and this earth with your Liquid Rain! Amen.
