It is a New Year and a new day…we have entered with a deepening faith in the Living God and heartrending concern for our shaking, hurting world.As I prayed about what I was to share at this pivotal time, I was reminded of the words spoken by Jesus just before His ascension.
Acts 1:7-8 (AMP)
7 He said to them, “It is not for you to become acquainted with and know what time brings (the things and events of time and their definite periods) or fixed years and seasons (their critical niche in time), which the Father has appointed (fixed and reserved) by His own choice and authority and personal power. 8 But you shall receive (ability, efficiency and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.”
Dear friends of the cross…governments and leaders shall come and go, but our King and His Kingdom shall stand forever! Our current leaders have had the fullness of 7 years…it is DONE! We have now entered the 8th year, which shall bring great change, transition and the possibilities of new beginnings. To an amazing extent, we the church have been given the power through the Holy Spirit to effectively bring righteous change and justice into our world. I hear a question in my spirit, “Who is on the Lord’s side?” May we actively participate by: study, intimate prayer, worship, prophetic intercession unashamed of the cross,as we minister to the needs of others and align ourselves with leaders and ministries, who boldly declare righteousness and justice.
Be empowered, encouraged and prepared for our Heavenly Father is in control and we who live for Him shall behold His Glory…His Plan…His Victory! Rejoice in Him for this is our finest hour. We are about to SHINE BRILLIANTLY into the DARKNESS! Remember…that multitudes are waiting to hear our GOOD NEWS! In a day of disasters…He says, “ARISE and BUILD!”
