During my devotional time this week, the Holy Spirit showed me a bright star in a midnight sky. As I gazed at the star, I listened and heard these words in my heart…Stars are positioned as markers to give light and direction. Stars always shine…but can only be seen in the night hours of the soul. As I continued to watch the sky…streaks of light began to slowly dawn until full sunshine had come, even the shadows of night disappeared in the brightness of the new day.Brilliant light is a glorious blessing!
I pray that those of you walking through a difficult season will look up tothe Lord, for He will give you light and direction. Don’t focus on the darkness! Choose to look for the Star positioned by God’s Hand. Be directed by the Light He gives in His Word. Live with hope and expectation. In His timing, the night will pass. The dawning of a new day will come. The Day Star, Jesus Christ, will guide and take you through.
The Lord gave me 2 illuminating passages of scripture.
Malachi 4:2 But for you who fear My name [with awe-filled reverence] the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go forward and leap [joyfully] like calves [released] from the stall.
Isaiah 60:2“For in fact, darkness will cover the earth. And deep darkness will cover the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you [Jerusalem]And His glory and brilliance will be seen on you. I invite you to put your name in that passage. The Lord will rise upon _______ and His glory and brilliance will be seen on you!
So be it! Amen!
